The idea

We are building a community for people who value the freedom of a private home alongside the rare strength of a shared purpose: caring for a remarkable Highland landscape together.
It is designed for families, friends and individuals looking to anchor a life across seasons - without turning land, nature or community into a speculative asset.
Project Argyll is operated as a Community Land Trust, which is a non-profit company that will find, purchase, hold, and maintain the land on behalf of its Members, who will own the lease to their plot and any improvements they build on it. Both entry (purchase) and exit (sale) prices will be controlled, making Membership participation more affordable than market value of the land and lifestyle-multipliers that the Project offers, while keeping transfers from existing to new Members affordable as well.
An annual fee - set by Members to cover actual maintenance costs and their choice of ongoing upgrades - will fund the Company to continue to provide services every year.
