Founder, Director, Member
Kyle
Kyle Taylor is a campaigner, author, and organisational strategist whose career has centred on building fairer, more resilient institutions. He founded Fair Vote UK in 2017 and has worked with policymakers, civil-society organisations, and cross-sector coalitions on democratic integrity, technology regulation, data protection, and public accountability. His experience includes advising governments in the UK, European Union, and North America; giving evidence to Parliament; directing campaigns in Britain and the United States; and serving as Chief of Staff and Campaigns Director to former Justice Minister Sir Simon Hughes.
Kyle also founded the Overton Group, through which he advises charities, campaigns, and companies on strategy, responsible technology, and organisational change. He is the author of the Little Black Book series on data, social media, and artificial intelligence, translating complex systems into practical choices for individuals and institutions.
At Project Argyll, Kyle brings a particular interest in governance that people can understand and trust. His work is shaped by the belief that durable communities depend on transparent decisions, shared responsibility, and institutions designed for the long term. He applies that perspective to the practical challenge of creating a member-led place where private independence, common stewardship, and accountability can strengthen one another over time.

Alexander
Alexander Knapp is an international strategist, organisational builder, and specialist in complex systems whose career spans consulting, humanitarian operations, peacebuilding, and institutional development. Over twenty-five years, he has worked across strategy, policy, planning, fundraising, crisis management, negotiation, and operational delivery. Between 1995 and 2012, he served in United Nations peacekeeping, humanitarian, and post-conflict missions across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, including Bosnia, Kosovo, East Timor, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Iraq, Darfur, Haiti, and South Sudan.
Alexander is the founder and Chief Executive of AKCGlobal, advising governments, international organisations, companies, and civil-society organisations on interconnected challenges. He is also a doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh Business School, examining how complexity-informed methods can improve international-development outcomes, and has taught international development, strategy, business, and complexity in London and Washington, DC.
At Project Argyll, Alexander leads the practical work of turning the vision into a durable organisation. He is responsible for corporate development, financial planning, legal structures, risk, governance, and negotiations with landowners, local government, advisers, and delivery partners. His role connects ambition to implementation: building credible systems, securing workable agreements, coordinating professional expertise, and ensuring that the project develops on a disciplined, transparent, financially sustainable foundation.
